Welcome to

Wicklow Writers

_____________________

We are a group of creative writers and poets who were

established in January 2001 and 2004, respectively,

in Wicklow Town, Ireland. Within our first year we launched Humanity,

an anthology of poetry and short stories.

In 2005, we launched Voyages, our second anthology of poetry

and prose, and we invite you to browse the extracts currently

on display in Anthology.

During the year, we run a number of events, including readings

and day trips in search of inspiration.

We hope you enjoy our site

Welcome back - I  hope you had a great summer. The Wicklow Writers have been busy during the break with a number of outings to galleries in Dublin, to help to keep the creative juices flowing. They have also performed on two occasions at the Wicklow Hospital in Wicklow Town, where they were warmly welcomed. Recently, they performed in a nursing home Bray, again receiving a warm reaction.

We have now sold 250 of our new CD – Voices from the Shore - and are burning another 250! So watch out for them in Kilmantin Arts Gallery in Wicklow Town. A great present for anyone who loves good poetry and prose.
